La Folle Jurnée or “Days of Enthusiasm” landed Tokyo in 2005. Ever since, the event has created successive surprises, shaking the common sense of Japan’s classical music scene. Astonishing records were made in the number of audiences: 320,000, 700,000 and 1,060,000 in the past three times.
La Folle Jurnée in Tokyo is the largest one in the world. The innovative management method greatly influenced concerts and music festivals in the rest of Japan.
In the Golden Week holidays in 2008, Wiener Energy of the 19th century (the “Golden Age”) will be brilliantly revived with select works of Schubert under the theme of “Schubert à Vienne”!
