Celebrating the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth; l'univers de Chopin

The theme of La Folle Journée au Japon “Days of Enthusiasm” Music Festival 2010 will be “l'univers de Chopin”

The 200th anniversary of the birth of Frédéric Chopin is truly something to celebrate, and we´re doing it in a big way: our theme composer for LFJ 2010 is-at last-F. Chopin! This festival will feature all of the works of Chopin. Also highlighted will be a series of Chopin's contemporaries, including Berlioz, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Bellini, Donizetti, Paganini, Alkan, Czerny, Kalkbrenner and Moscheles, plus Bach, Handel, Hummel and Mozart, whom Chopin greatly respected. The festival will also recreate performances that Chopin himself attended and others he performed in.

We promise you that the La Folle Journée au Japan “Days of Enthusiasm" Music Festival 2010 will be something truly spectacular!
